How to uninstall Arc on Mac completely
Arc keeps your Spaces, pinned tabs, history and passwords in your Library folder, and deleting the app leaves them there along with caches and settings. Here is how to remove all of it — and what to save first, because Arc can’t export your pinned tabs.
- Open MacWashing and choose Uninstaller in the sidebar.
- Click Show Apps and check Arc in the list.
- Click Remove and confirm. Files that may be yours are listed as Possible and stay unchecked.

Delete Arc in Finder
Delete Arc like any other app:
- Quit Arc: in the menu bar, choose Arc › Quit Arc.
- Open Finder › Applications and drag Arc to the Trash.
What Arc leaves behind
After deleting the app, check these places in the Library folder inside your home folder:

Your profile is in ~/Library/Application Support/Arc: Spaces, pinned tabs, history, saved passwords and extensions. Deleting that folder removes them from this Mac, so save what you need first — see below.
Remove the leftovers by hand
- In Finder, choose Go › Go to Folder (Shift-Command-G), type a path from the list above and press Return.
- Move the folder or file to the Trash.
- Repeat for the other paths.
- Restart your Mac, then empty the Trash.

Save your Spaces, tabs and passwords first
- With Arc Sync on (Arc › Settings, the Sync section), your Spaces, folders and tabs are kept in your Arc account and come back on another device.
- Arc Sync doesn’t carry browsing history, saved passwords, extensions, Favorites or profiles. Move passwords to another password manager before uninstalling.
- Arc can’t export pinned and Favorite tabs to another browser. The Browser Company suggests a workaround: put them in a pinned folder, right-click it, choose Copy All Links and paste the links into a note.

Questions and answers
Will MacWashing delete my own files when it removes Arc?
No. The Uninstaller checks only what belongs to the app: its settings, caches, logs and background items. Folders that may hold your own files are listed as Possible and stay unchecked until you check them yourself, and apps go to the Trash by default, so you can put them back.
What if Arc is still running?
MacWashing waits for it to quit, or quits it at your request, and only then removes its files.
Is it free to uninstall Arc with MacWashing?

Will uninstalling Arc delete my Spaces and pinned tabs?
Deleting the app alone doesn’t: they stay in the Arc folder in Application Support. If you delete that folder, they are gone from this Mac, unless Arc Sync kept them in your account.
Can I export my Arc sidebar to another browser?
Not directly. Arc has no export for pinned and Favorite tabs. Copy their links from a pinned folder with Copy All Links instead.
Can I reinstall Arc later?
Yes. Download it again from arc.net and sign in. With Arc Sync on, your Spaces and tabs come back. Passwords and history come back only if you kept the Arc folder.
