How to uninstall Logi Options+ on Mac completely
Logi Options+ is more than the app in Applications: it adds an agent that starts when you log in, an updater that runs with administrator rights, settings and logs in several Library folders. Here is how to remove all of it and keep your mouse and keyboard settings for later.

- Open MacWashing and choose Uninstaller in the sidebar.
- Click Show Apps and check logioptionsplus in the list.
- Click Remove and confirm. Files that may be yours are listed as Possible and stay unchecked.

Back up your device settings first
If you sign in to Logi Options+ with a verified Logitech account, it backs up your device settings to the cloud. Automatic backup is on by default. You can check it under your device’s More settings › Backups. Logitech says Flow settings and the app’s own settings aren’t part of the backup.
If you don’t use an account, your button and gesture settings are removed with the app.
Uninstall Logi Options+ the way Logitech describes
- Quit Logi Options+ if its window is open.
- Open Finder › Applications.
- Right-click Logi Options+ (the file may be called logioptionsplus) and choose Move to Trash.
- Enter your administrator password if macOS asks for it.
Logitech’s steps for a complete removal go further: look for Logitech files in /Library and in the Library folder inside your home folder, move them to the Trash and restart the Mac. The list below shows where Logi Options+ keeps its files.
What Logi Options+ leaves behind
After deleting the app, check these places. The first ones are in the Library folder inside your home folder:
~/Library/Application Support/LogiOptionsPlus— the app’s data, settings and caches.~/Library/Application Support/Logi— more Logitech data.~/Library/Preferences/com.logi.optionsplus.plist— settings./Library/Application Support/Logi/LogiOptionsPlus— components installed for all users of the Mac./Library/LaunchAgents/com.logi.optionsplus.plist— the agent that starts Logi Options+ when you log in./Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logi.optionsplus.updater.plist— the updater that runs with administrator rights./Library/Logs/Logi/LogiOptionsPlus— logs./Users/Shared/LogiOptionsPlus— files shared by all users.
Logitech has other apps too. If you keep one of them, delete only the Options+ items listed here and leave other Logitech folders alone.
Remove the leftovers by hand
- In Finder, choose Go › Go to Folder (Shift-Command-G), type a path from the list above and press Return.
- Move the folder or file to the Trash. Files in
/Libraryand/Users/Sharedneed your administrator password. - Repeat for the other paths.
- Restart your Mac, so the agent and the updater are no longer running, then empty the Trash.

Questions and answers
Will MacWashing delete my own files when it removes Logi Options+?
No. The Uninstaller checks only what belongs to the app: its settings, caches, logs and background items. Folders that may hold your own files are listed as Possible and stay unchecked until you check them yourself, and apps go to the Trash by default, so you can put them back.
What if Logi Options+ is still running?
MacWashing waits for it to quit, or quits it at your request, and only then removes its files.
Is it free to uninstall Logi Options+ with MacWashing?
Yes, within the free trial: System Junk and the Uninstaller free up to 25 GB in total, with no account or card needed.
Will I lose my mouse and keyboard settings?
Not if you were signed in with a verified Logitech account: your device settings are backed up to the cloud, and you can restore them after reinstalling. Without an account, they are removed with the app.
Will my Logitech mouse still work without Logi Options+?
It keeps working as a standard mouse or keyboard. Buttons, gestures and other settings you made in Logi Options+ stop working.
Can I reinstall Logi Options+ later?
Yes. Download it again from Logitech’s website, sign in and choose Restore settings from backup to bring back your device settings.
