1. The software

MacWashing finds caches, logs, leftovers of removed apps, developer junk and large files, removes apps, and shows privacy permissions and login items. It removes only what you select, after you review it; depending on your settings it moves files to the Trash or deletes them at once.

You are responsible for reviewing what you remove. Keep backups of data that matters to you (for example with Time Machine): deleted data may not be recoverable.

2. Free use and licenses

MacWashing can be used free of charge within the limits described on the website. A paid license removes these limits for the number of Macs and the period of the plan you bought.

A license belongs to your account. Every Mac you sign in to MacWashing with that account takes one slot; you can free a slot in your account at any time.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use MacWashing under these terms. You may not resell, rent or share your account or license, circumvent the license checks, or copy, extract or reverse engineer the software or its rules database, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.

3. Account

You need an account to use a paid license. Give a working e-mail address, keep your password secret and tell us if you think someone else uses your account. You can delete your account at any time in its Security section; a deleted account cannot be restored.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our authorized online reseller, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. The reseller handles payments, taxes, invoices, billing questions and returns. Its own terms of sale apply to the purchase.

Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay. A subscription renews automatically at the end of every period and is charged to your payment method until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time through the link in your receipt or by writing to us; the license then stays active until the end of the period already paid.

If we change the price of a subscription, the new price applies only from a renewal after we have told you about it, and you may cancel before that renewal.

5. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase or a renewal, once per customer, as described in our Refund Policy. A refunded license is revoked.

6. Updates and availability

We may release updates that fix problems, change features or the rules database. A license includes the updates released during its period. We aim to keep the account service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. Without a connection the app stays licensed for up to three days.

7. Warranty and liability

MacWashing is provided “as is”. We take care that it removes only what is safe to remove, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or suits your particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the license in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using MacWashing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously break these terms; for a paid license we tell you why first, unless the law or safety requires otherwise.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. We publish the new version here with its date and, for significant changes, tell account holders by e-mail before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
